Life Over Screen is a paid-download mobile app for iOS and Android that helps users protect real-life moments from distracting apps they choose.

Payment Model
The MVP is sold as a paid download through App Store Connect and Google Play Console. The app does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, ads, accounts, analytics, or cloud sync.
Refunds, taxes, payment processing, family sharing, and purchase availability are handled by the app store where the user purchased the app.
Local-Only Use
Life Over Screen stores session history, selected distracting apps, custom moment labels, active session state, and preferences locally on the user's device. The MVP does not transmit this data to Life Over Screen servers.
Users are responsible for backing up or preserving local device data if they want to keep it. Deleting the app, clearing app data, or using Delete local data inside the app can remove local records.
Android Permissions and Control
On Android, the app may ask for Usage Access, Accessibility, Notifications, and optional overlay permission so it can notice selected distractions during an active protected moment and return the user to Life Over Screen.
The app is not an unbreakable device lock. Users can disable permissions, force-stop the app, uninstall the app, or use operating-system controls.
iOS Screen Time Limits
Real iPhone app shielding depends on Apple Screen Time / Family Controls entitlement approval and real-device testing. Until that implementation is approved and shipped, iOS copy must not promise app shielding.
Acceptable Use
Users should use Life Over Screen only for their own device and their own protected moments, or where they have the legal right and consent to configure a device.
Users must not use the app to control another person's device without permission, bypass laws, interfere with emergency communication, or create an unsafe situation.
No Emergency or Safety Guarantee
Life Over Screen is a relationship-first attention tool. It is not emergency software, medical software, parental-control compliance software, workplace monitoring software, or a security product.
Users should not rely on the app to prevent all access to distracting apps or to guarantee behavior in urgent, safety-critical, legal, medical, or caregiving situations.
App Stores and Third Parties
Downloads, payments, refunds, ratings, reviews, family sharing, device eligibility, and store availability are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and policies.
Life Over Screen may link to app-store pages, privacy pages, support email, or public website pages.
Updates and Availability
The app may change over time to improve stability, store compliance, localization, platform behavior, or privacy disclosures.
Some features may work differently across Android versions, manufacturers, permission settings, iOS entitlement status, and store review outcomes.
Intellectual Property
Life Over Screen, its app design, copy, images, icons, screenshots, and related materials are owned by the publisher or used with permission. Users receive the right to use the app as distributed through the app stores, not ownership of the app or its assets.
Disclaimer
The app is provided as an attention-support tool. To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the publisher does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect blocking, compatibility with every device, or specific personal, relationship, health, productivity, or behavioral results.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages related to use of the app, inability to use the app, platform permission behavior, local data loss, store availability, or user decisions made while using the app.
Changes to These Terms
These terms should be updated when the app's payment model, platform behavior, data practices, store availability, ownership, support process, or legal requirements change.
